Peaceful dream
In today’s world, there is unrest and imbalance. Dreaming of peace, safety and security is no longer a luxury. On this parade float, white toucans playfully and freely frolic through a colourful dream world filled with flowers. Each carries an olive branch in its beak, symbolising peace, hope, reconciliation and new life. Some of these sustainable birds have taken flight before and are being reused for this year’s parade.
This year they have landed in a peaceful dream and have been re-incorporated into the design. Within this serene dream world, they make the world a little more colourful, lighter and joyful. Dreams are no illusion… will you dream along with us?

On the right track!
For 105 years, full steam ahead on the right track. Hobaho has been in constant motion for 105 years! This float is powered by a passion for the flower bulb sector and the positive power of bulb flowers. From breeding new, resilient varieties of tulips, hyacinths, gladioli, and lilies to mediating in flower bulbs — every day Hobaho moves forward like a train, driven by quality, innovation, and development.
This locomotive symbolises that journey, which is rooted in a rich history yet focused firmly on a healthy future for the vibrant bulb sector and its surroundings. The train also represents sustainability, a perfect fit for Hobaho. By applying the latest technologies, resilient flower bulbs are being developed — essential for a sustainable future in which flowers continue to fascinate, inspire, and connect. Generations are brought together, space is created for new ideas, and a sector that never stands still will keep moving forward at full speed. Hobaho is on the right track — a company under steam, a sector in motion, together heading towards a more sustainable, tulip-coloured future.

Fast Pedalling in North Holland
Cycling from home to work, to the station, or simply heading out into nature with your dog or children — the Netherlands is truly a cycling country. In all kinds of weather, the Dutch keep riding over longer distances. The province of North Holland is developing so-called fast cycle routes: safe and comfortable routes for distances of up to about 15 kilometres. A prime example is the fast cycle route from Haarlem to Amsterdam along the N200.
The F200 route has been improved with a wider cycle path, new bicycle streets have been laid in Halfweg-Zwanenburg and there are safer exits and more priority for cyclists. In developing this fast cycle route network, the province works closely with municipalities and residents. Fun fact: the dog of floral designer Inge Quint served as the model for this float.

Living with water
:Living with Water - In the water-rich region between IJmuiden, Amsterdam-West, Gouda and Wassenaar, the Hoogheemraadschap van Rijnland works every day to keep our feet dry and to ensure clean and sufficient water. This is done in close cooperation with residents, businesses and other partners, with continuous attention to the environment, nature and landscape. Ninety percent of this area lies below sea level. Combined with climate change, this creates major challenges such as drought and flooding.
These are not problems for the distant future — immediate action is necessary. That is why strong efforts are being made towards sustainable and innovative solutions, ensuring that safe living, working and recreation in the west of the Netherlands will remain guaranteed in the future.
The Bloemencorso Bollenstreek flower parade passes through several municipalities where Rijnland is active. This parade float shows what this work entails and why water management is essential. Dikes and dunes provide protection against flooding, while the main pumping station regulates water levels and maintains good water quality. Work on this has continued day and night since 1255.

Galloping Harmony
We proudly present ‘Galloping Harmony’ the 2026 China-themed float for Bloemencorso Bollenstreek. The float features two main sections. At the front, a powerful galloping horse, symbolizing the Chinese Year of the Horse, leaps forward upon clouds of good fortune and progress. These clouds flow from a classical fusion vase at the rear, which combines traditional Dutch and Chinese ceramic patterns, embodying centuries of cultural exchanges.
The vase overflows with vibrant flowers, representing the flourishing friendship and shared aspiration between our peoples. Adjacent to the horse, the ‘Nihao! China’ logo extends a warm and open invitation for visiting and exploring China. Through this floral journey, the float celebrates the dialogue of civilizations, where mutual respect blooms into shared beauty.

The Frog Pince" comes to life! On this enchanting parade float, the fairy tale The Frog Prince comes to life, straight out of the most magical dreams. Amid the fragrant flowers of the Bollenstreek, a magical float rides by, featuring an impressive frog and a golden ball at its heart. Next to their castle, a fountain of flowers sparkles, with a heart shape woven into its design — the symbol of love and connection, and a subtle nod to Lisse as the beating heart of the Bollenstreek. Amongst the daffodils, hyacinths, tulips, and blue cut flowers, magic fills the air. It feels as if the fairy tale itself is traveling through the Bollenstreek, where everyone, young and old alike can drift back to the age of princes and princesses. This float shows that fairy tales are not just for children, but for all who continue to believe in magic, love, and the power of imagination. Hillegom Warriors
Hillegom Warriors is an innovative graduation project focused on fighting the invasive Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) in collaboration with a landscaping company and the Gemeente Hillegom. Japanese knotweed spreads at a rapid pace. Native plants are smothered and have little chance to survive. Traditional control methods are often costly, labour-intensive, or harmful to the environment so pigs have been introduced to combat this exotic newcomer.
For the past two years, pigs have been deployed in a park in Hillegom. They eagerly eat the soft stems of the knotweed and in the areas where the pigs forage, Japanese knotweed has been eliminated. Volunteers take good care of the pigs, and their enclosure has become a central meeting place.
